Conclusion
J. Robert Oppenheimer was a great physicist and the lead scientist of the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos. Through his gifted leadership, he led a large team of scientists in creating atomic bombs. Oppenheimer collaborated with the scientists, helped younger physicists to develop their talents, and even though he faced tough decisions and challenges was successful in executing his vision of making a working atomic bomb.
After seeing the destruction of the two bombs, Oppenheimer worked against the development of the new hydrogen bomb and tried to lead the world to international control of nuclear arms. Even when faced with huge pressure and accused of collaborating with the enemy, Oppenheimer stuck with his beliefs. Eventually Oppenheimer was stripped of his security clearance because he was a suspected communist during the Red Scare. Oppenheimer changed the world not only through his leadership as a world renowned scientist but also within the Manhattan Project. His legacy will be remembered forever.
